Positive parenting is an approach that focuses on strengthening children's self-esteem and social-emotional development. Rather than focusing solely on discipline, we encourage children to understand the consequences of their actions and learn from their experiences with love and respect. We promote their autonomy, empathy, and healthy relationships.
Positive parenting is important because it helps children develop healthy relationships with themselves and those around them. By strengthening self-esteem and emotional intelligence, children become more responsible, kind, and cooperative. They also learn to handle difficulties with a positive attitude and solve problems with respect and understanding. This approach contributes to a stronger and happier community of future adults.
At the nursery, we create a calm and pleasant atmosphere for meals, without pressure, with all children eating together. Teachers encourage children through stories, songs and other creative approaches. If necessary, we withdraw food and offer it again after bedtime, when the child is hungrier. In collaboration with parents, we experiment with different foods, textures and serving methods, in order to find the best approach for each child.
It is perfectly normal to be worried about the first few days at school. Adjusting can take some time, and your child may feel uneasy at first. However, our staff is experienced and supportive, providing your child with security and time to get used to their new environment. The first few days may include short absences, which will be done gradually, to reduce your child’s anxiety and help them feel safe and comfortable. A personalized adjustment plan based on your child’s age, temperament, and upbringing will help your child develop confidence in their new environment and start to enjoy it!
The sleep process is unique to each child, whether they are breastfed or not. From our experience, we understand that it takes a little patience in the beginning for the child to adjust to the new environment. At first, the child may sleep less than at home, as the environment and new routines can affect their sleep. Our staff is experienced in alternative sleeping methods and we are open to discussing with you the alternatives that may suit your child best, such as using a specific object for comfort or calm music. We are here to ensure that your child feels safe and comfortable during sleep, while gradually adapting to their new habits.
At our school, our goals are to help children develop basic skills that will accompany them throughout their lives. We focus on managing their emotions, being aware of their needs and developing emotional intelligence. We teach children to socialize and cooperate, to share, to wait their turn and to resolve conflicts through reason and argument. At our school, we encourage independence in daily activities, such as eating alone, dressing and taking care of themselves. Our goal is to strengthen the child's self-confidence, so that they can express their needs and face the world around them with confidence and security. When the child leaves our school, they will have developed these fundamental skills, ready to face new challenges with joy and self-confidence.

At the same time, we stand out for our flexibility: communication with parents who do not speak Greek is carried out in English, ensuring immediate, accurate information and a personalized relationship of trust.
